On October 17, 2023 a meeting between representatives of the Supreme School of Judges under the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the delegation of Japan was held. On the meeting from the Uzbek side took part Deputy Director of the Supreme School of Judges under the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan D. Israilov, Head of the Department on Education and Methodology I. Palvanov, Chief Specialist of the Department of Information and Technical Support and Distance Learning M. Abdalimov and Chief Specialist of the Department of International Cooperation A. Adkhamov. From the Japanese side took part lawyer Toshitada Nihommatsu, Professor Okawa Kenzo and representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Masanori Tsukahara.

During the meeting, guests were informed about the main tasks and activities of the Supreme School of Judges of Uzbekistan, as well as about the ongoing work in the field of training candidates for judicial positions, retraining, training of judges and the court staff.

Toshitada Nihommatsu thanked for the detailed information and shared information on the process of training candidates for judicial positions and the procedure of their appointment in Japan.
